This group of Lady golfers was created about fifteen years ago for those wanting to play golf together but also to make new acquaintances. Very rapidly established and organized, it was given the name “ Elles golf” and soon became much envied by the surrounding clubs for its friendly atmosphere. Later several competitions with sponsors were included in its programme; with only 15 members at the start, the group now numbers more than 70 participants. “Elles golf” welcomes all feminine members of the Arcachon Golf Club, including beginners and invites them every Monday ( tee-offs from 12h30 to 13h30) for friendly, good-humored rounds of golf, all in the spirit of golf and with respect to the game.
Outings to other golf courses are also organized; there are competitions counting for the handicap, others non-indexed like the “Pitch and Putt”, which are very popular and have very generous sponsors. A “lotto” is organized every year, always with a very large attendance, proving that new activities are fully appreciated by the “Elles golf” members. At the year end all the lady members attend a lunch/debate which the Club’s President always honours with his presence. We will be delighted to receive all new members who are sure to be warmly welcomed by “Elles Golf”.
