The competitions of “Elles Golf” and the “Seniors d’Arcachon” co-existed for a long time among the activities of our Club but a competition in which both groups should play together in a friendly and fun match was still to be created.

And so came the idea of an “Ils & Elles” competition; the first match took place in December 2008 and since then these events have been held twice a year, in May and September.

These competitions, which are played in mixed-doubles, purposely group together men and women players who normally would not have the opportunity to play together due to the difference in their handicap. The composition of the teams is “drawn by lot” by the organizing Committee.

Tee-offs are in shot-gun at 9h30 a.m; the game is played in scramble/stableford formula in teams of 2 which enables each participant, whatever his/her level, to contribute to the result of his/her team.
